Andrew McAfee: What will the future of jobs look like

This is an amazing TED talk that explores how technology will impact employment and society in the near future.  Andrew explores how many low skilled jobs may vanish with the use of technology and what that would mean economically and socially.   This talk was inspiring in that it painted a very positive picture of how much our technology improvements could benefit society, but also explained how this may change the way we think about the distribution of wealth and interactions between financial classes.

 

Brene Brown: The power of vulnerability

In this discussion Brene shares her research on vulnerability, courage, authenticity and shame, culminating in an amazing message of how valuable the deep understanding of
“I’m enough” is for us all.  To teach this message, she explains that those who have the strongest connections in life are truly authentic, defined as willing to let go of who you think you should be in order to be who you are.   Moreover, she articulates how powerful exercising vulnerability in your life can be.   Her entire message is linked to her own personal stories, making the discussion relevant and moving.
